No Show
A "No Show" is considered a reservation that is not picked up within 1/2 hour of the reservation pick up time. A 1 day rate will be charged as a no show fee in case renter does not show up for rental vehicle or cancels after reservation pickup time.

Cancellation Policy
Reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours before pick up time. For holiday rentals, you must cancel at least 48 hours before pick up time. Any cancellation within the 24 hour or 48 hour holiday timeframe will be subject to a cancellation charge of the 1 day rate of your reservation rate. Any vehicle that requires a credit card to make a reservation will be subject to a one day rental charge in the event the customer fails to show up for his/her reservation.

We at Action Car Rental are not affiliated in any way with Action Car Rental in Florida.

Age Requirements
Minimum Age Required to Rent: 18
18-20 : $70/day
21-22 : $40/day
23-24 : $30/day
You must be at least 24 years of age in order to rent a 15 passenger van.
Age Restrictions apply to all specialty vehicles including SUV's and passenger van rentals. If you are under the age of 21, you MUST supply your own vehicle collision and theft insurance (thru Credit Card insurance or personal vehicle insurance) in order to rent any vehicle.

Cash Payments
Cash is accepted as a form of payment at the end of the rental. Exact change is required.

Cleaning Fee
A cleaning/detailing fee will be added if a vehicle is returned with but not limited to excessive trash, with stains, with odors, and/or pet hair of up to $175.00

Credit Card Authorization Amount
Rental fee plus a minimum of a $250.00 deposit will be authorized at the time of pick up on your credit card. Rental fee plus a minimum of a $1000.00 deposit will be charged to your debit card at time of pick up. Your final charges will be calculated at the end of your rental. Any unused amount on a authorization will be released and any balance due from a charged deposit will be issued a refund.
However, the timely release of any authorization or hold not used towards the rental is dependent on YOUR bank's release policy. The release of deposit funds can take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days for U.S. issued non-debit credit cards. All others can take up to 30 days to be released.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is offered at $9 or $12 per day depending on the vehicle class with a out of pocket expense starting at $250.00. Your exact out of pocket expense will be stated on your rental agreement. You must provide proof of collision coverage if you decline LDW. If LDW is purchased from Action Car Rental, your out of pocket expense amount will be noted on your rental agreement. Purchasing LDW will waive your responsibility from any loss of and damage to the vehicle including any consequential damages. LDW does not cover tire damage.

Loss Of Use
Customer is responsible for loss of use due to damage to the rental vehicle. If purchasing LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) the customer will be waived from loss of use except for the out of pocket amount printed on the rental agreement.

Car Class, Color, Or Model
We cannot guarantee that a specific car, color or model will be available. You will however get the correct car in the car class you reserved or higher at the same rate.

Drivers License Check
Action Car Rental reserves the right to electronically check the renters' drivers license record. There is a charge for this license check depending on the state, the charge will range from $5 to $25. Depending on your driving history record, we reserve the right to rent or not to rent you any specific vehicle. Other factors that may determine our decision are your age, and whether or not you are able to supply your own CDW. This policy also applies to any additional driver on the rental agreement.

Deposit Requirements
American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Debit Cards with Visa or Mastercard logo, International Credit Card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa) Travelers checks and Discover are all accepted forms of tender for vehicle deposits. All vehicles require a deposit starting at 250.00 depending on the vehicle class reserved and type of waivers purchased.



Confirm Your Reservation
To confirm your reservation, you must call our office at 646-650-2500 and leave a credit card deposit for your reservation during business hours. The reservations agent will then verify and confirm availability for the vehicle and date you requested.
If you do not call our office to confirm your reservation, you are not guaranteed any vehicle.
If you are unable to call our office to confirm your reservation, please email us at customerservice@actioncarrental.com. Please do not include any credit card information in your email to this address.
Reservations made after 12 midnight eastern time until 7am eastern time cannot be confirmed until opening business hours.

Drop Off & Pick Up Service
At Action Car Rental we offer drop-off and pick-up service. We can deliver your vehicle to you during business hours to the Airports, hotel, home, office, or other prearranged location. The charge for this service is determined by what vehicle we are delivering and of course the delivery location.

Driving Area Restrictions
We want to make sure that you get the proper vehicle with roadside assistance for your long journey outside the state. Your safety and comfort on long distance and all trips is our concern. So please, let us help you by offering the proper vehicle for your needs. No vehicle is ever allowed or authorized to drive into Mexico.

Gasoline Refueling
Our policy for refueling gas is very simple. Please return the vehicle with the same gasoline level as when you took the vehicle. The fuel level amount will be printed on your rent-a-car contract. If you return it with less gasoline, we will charge you $7.99/gal used. So, please check your gas level before returning the vehicle. Thanks

GPS Navigation responsibility
Renter is responsible for all parts to the GPS Navigation unit. The cost of any missing or damaged parts will be deducted from the car rental deposit.

Holding Your Reserved Vehicle
Action Car Rental will hold a confirmed vehicle reservation for up to one half hour past the scheduled pick up time. Please call us in advance if you will be late to pick up your rental.

Holiday Period
During holiday periods discounts and coupon specials DO NOT apply. Holiday rates might be higher than internet prices and are NOT DISCOUNTABLE. If your reservation is made within 4 weeks of a national holiday the posted internet price is not guaranteed, please call to confirm prices. Due to the many reservation requests during a holiday time, in order to confirm and hold your reservation, you must call in and give a deposit towards your rental. Without a deposit we will not guarantee the reservation or the vehicle.

Holiday Rates
During a holiday period, rates must be confirmed verbally by our agents. Rate is quoted for the length of time you wish to rent. If a vehicle is returned earlier then scheduled due back date and time the quoted rate remains the same even though the duration is less. No discounts or coupons may be applied during holiday periods.

International Drivers & Foreign Nationals
International drivers welcome. We DO ACCEPT foreign drivers license from many countries, and of course international licenses. Drivers with foreign licenses, must bring their passport or Visa at the time of rental pickup. If you are living in the USA whether permanently or temporarily, you must also bring with you proof of where you reside. This might be a telephone bill, pay stub, or utility bill. These requirement are due to homeland security issues. If you are staying with family or friends while in the USA, you must supply us with their address and valid telephone number.

Internet Rate Guarantee
The discounted internet rates are guaranteed to you subject to our rental policies. Please print out and bring in your online reservation if possible. Internet rates are not guaranteed unless confirmed with a paid deposit.

Reservation Confirmation
All reservations require credit card information to guarantee. Once you have made a reservation online, you will be prompted to call our office to confirm with credit card information.

No Learners Permit
Persons with Learners Permits are not allowed to rent, drive or be included in the rental contract.

No Towing
Please note that we DO NOT allow any of our vehicles including 15 Passenger Vans and SUV's to tow any trailer. Nothing is allowed to be connected or hitched to our vehicles at any time! You will be responsible for any damages incurred to our vehicles due to unauthorized towing.

One Way or Non Returned Rental Vehicle
All rentals must be returned to the location printed on your Rental Agreement. You must notify us immediately if you encounter any problem, but you are not allowed to abandon the vehicle or leave it at a place of your choosing. Arrangements MUST be made with our office to check your vehicle at a location near you. We have a network of repair facilities to service your vehicle.
If you leave the vehicle or abandon it, you will be responsible for ALL costs incurred to retrieve the vehicle and return it to our office. The rental will extend through the date and time that the vehicle returns to our office.
If you leave a vehicle due to a flat tire or running out of gasoline, it is your full responsibility to refuel the vehicle and also to replace the flat tire.
There may be a drop-off charge to return the rental vehicle to a location other than the one where the vehicle was picked up from.

Parking/Traffic/Toll Violations
The renter is responsible for all parking, traffic, and/or toll violations incurred during their rental period. There is no time limit on how long a renter is responsible for violations incurred. A surcharge of 40.00 will be applied to each violation charge by Action Car Rental or Violation Management Services. If payment cannot be obtained then violations will be sent to a collection agency.

Promotional Period
Promotional Periods are those periods of days during the year when Action Car Rental offers reduced or discounted rates on the internet when are lower than our regular published rates.
During Promotional Periods no additional discounts allowed.

Reimbursements
We are not responsible for any cost that the renter claims during the rental period. We do not reimburse the cost of other car rentals, restaurants, hotel, or any other travel costs during the rental period.

Rental Extension rates
If the renter, whether retail or corporate, extends the rental period to a new date past the original return date on the rental agreement, no matter the reason, this will automatically void any special pricing or rate that was associated with the original Rental Agreement. For example; if the renter was given a 2 day special price that included a certain % discount, and then decided to extend the rental to 5 days, then the % discount will no longer be valid and the total rental will be calculated by a new and possibly higher rate.

Reserved Vehicle Availability
At times, due to conditions out of our control, if your vehicle is not available for you in a reasonable time, we might upgrade your vehicle to a similar one in order satisfy your reservation. An upgrade or change in the vehicle will be done at our discretion and with the decision of our management.

Returning Vehicle Past Rental Agreement Due Back Date
The rates printed on your Rental Agreement are ONLY valid until the Due Back date printed. If you extend the rental past the rental Due Back date printed on the Rental Agreement (contract) and return on a later date, the contract will be considered in breach. We reserve the right to adjust the rental rate of your contract with higher rates starting from day one of your contract. If any renter extends his/her rental past the Due Back date and those extended days fall into a weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) or into a holiday period such as any federal holiday plus others, the renter WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the full rental policy and prices of that weekend or holiday. No exceptions can be made to this policy unless it is in written form and an updated Rental Agreement approved by our manager.

Roadside Assistance
Roadside assistance means you can feel safe and secure driving a vehicle from Action Discount Car Rentals and knowing that should a problem occur (even a flat tire), you are just a phone call away from help.
Safety and peace of mind... that's what you get in our vehicles.

Spare Tire and Jack
Each one of our vehicles is equipped with a spare tire (unless the vehicle has run flat tires), and a jack and lug wrench. It is the sole responsibility of the renter to replace the tire with the spare provided in case of a flat tire. We do not give flat tire replacement service. The renter is also responsible for the cost of the replacement tire. Unfortunately there is sometimes road hazard, but we do not assume responsibility for the damage caused to the tires and rims.

15 Passenger Van Requirements
All drivers 23 years old and below are subject to a drivers license check and manager approval before rental of a 15 passenger van. The renter will be responsible for the cost of the drivers license check weather or not the rental is approved.

Sprinter Van Rental
Additional rider must be signed when renting a Sprinter van. Sprinter Van may only be picked up and dropped off at our MIDTOWN, JFK AIRPORT, or EWR AIRPORT location during normal business hours unless otherwise approved.

Tire damage
The renter is fully responsible for all tire damage during the rental. Whether the tire was damaged by road hazard, driver error, or even a blowout, the renter will be held responsible and charged for any expenses to repair the vehicle or replace the tire or related components, and for related towing charges. The Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) does not cover for tire damage.

Traveling to Canada
Certain restrictions and conditions must be met to drive to Canada. Travel to Canada must have manager's approval.
Due to insurance policies, only certain vehicles in our fleet are allowed to travel to Canada. You must advise our agent that you are planning to travel to Canada. Only Midsize or larger class cars are allowed to travel to Canada. Please note that there will be a $100.00 surcharge added to any Rental Agreement of a vehicle which travels to Canada. If it is found that you traveled to Canada during your rental, and that we did not approve of it in writing, your rental rate will be changed and you will be charged and will be responsible for paying the revised rate of a vehicle traveling to Canada including the $100 surcharge.

Traveling to Mexico not allowed
Action Car Rental does NOT allow any of our vehicles to be driven into Mexico.
If it is found that your vehicle traveled into Mexico during your rental, you will be responsible for an additional rate surcharge of $2000 in addition to your rental agreement rate. So do not break the rules. No traveling to Mexico.

Unauthorized Repairs
NO repairs of any kind, no matter how large or small may be done to the rental vehicle without written approval of the management. If a repair is done without approval, the renter will be fully responsible for any and all additional repair work that might be needed in order to properly repair the rental vehicle and to brig it back to its pre rental condition.

Weekend Days
Weekend rentals start from Friday until Sunday.

Minimum Age: 18
Age 18 to 20 - must supply your own insurance, or have car rental insurance on your credit card. Or rent with an additional driver over 24.
Age 21 to 22 - must supply proof of insurance or have car rental insurance on your credit card.
Age 23 to 23 - Surcharge applies.

For exotic vehicles, all underage drivers must be approved by our management in writing.

Why pay airline baggage charges? Have our seats waiting for you. Action can provide you with a convertible car seat to be used forward facing for children weighing 20-40 pounds or 8kgs-18 kgs and up to 40 inches/101 cms in height. Parents of children who have outgrown an infant car seat are encouraged to use these seats rear-facing until the child reaches the upper height and weight limits of the seat for rear-facing use.
SLI (Supplementary Liability Insurance)
This insurance is optional and is available for anyone who wishes to increase the liability insurance above the minimum liability insurance that comes with your rental vehicle.

Why pay airline baggage charges? Have our seats waiting for you. Action can provide you with a belt-positioning booster seat to be used in the back seat for children who have outgrown a convertible car seat. The belt-positioning booster seat must be used in seating positions equipped with lap and shoulder belts. Children weighing 40-80 pounds or 18kg-36kgs should use these seats.

Insurance and Coverage

Geographic Restrictions
Our vehicle are allowed to travel to any location from Maine to Florida. We also allow the vehicles to travel westward. But if you are planning to travel west of Ohio, we must be told before you rent your vehicle. We ask this so that we will be able to determine of your exact vehicle will have available service if necessary. Travel to Mexico is strictly forbidden. Travel to Canada is allowed with manager's written approval. All vehicle are rented strictly on a round trip rental agreement. Dropping off a vehicle anywhere except for one of our locations is only allowed with manager's written approval. Please call us for more information regarding any concerns you might have.
